Privacy
This site does not use advertising or analytics trackers and sets no cookies of its own. The data handled is limited to what is described below.
- Browsing. The pages are static files. Our host keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and operation.
- Audio. Podbean receives your IP address when you press play on an episode.
- Embedded video. Some articles embed YouTube or Vimeo videos. Nothing is loaded from them until you click “Play video”; the provider then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies.
AI chat
The “Ask about IPOs” assistant is an artificial intelligence system, not a person. Its answers are generated from episode transcripts, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are not investment advice.
- What we receive. The question you type and up to the last six turns of the conversation, sent to a server run by Amundsen Investment Management in France. Please do not enter personal data.
- Processor. To answer, your text is sent to Mistral AI (France), which turns your question into an embedding used to search the transcripts and generates the answer.
- What we keep. Questions and answers are stored without your IP address or any session identifier, to improve the assistant, and deleted after 12 months. Your IP address is used only transiently for rate limiting (counters expire within 24 hours) and to validate your session.
- Bot protection. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not a bot and receives your IP address. A short-lived session token (about 15 minutes) is kept in your browser's local storage so that follow-up questions are not re-checked.
- Legal basis. Our legitimate interest in operating and securing the assistant (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
