LSE Europe Capital Markets Conference
Amundsen’s CIO Gautier Rousseau was invited to speak at the Europe Capital Markets Conference last week, sharing his perspective on current European & Global ECM trends, as well as discussing the outlook for the coming months.
The outlook is actually very encouraging for IPO activity in Europe. Yes, volumes remain subdued vs. historical average - as has also been the case in the US. It is a normalisation of the 2020/2021 frenzy years (a lot got done then) but also a matter of time for companies to grow above the valuation of the last investment rounds. And we are now getting there. Investors' positioning in Europe remains historically low and should support inflows and demand for European assets. Meanwhile the pipeline of IPO candidates is large and diversified across sectors.
Thank you to the London Stock Exchange for the opportunity to share our views, and for our co-panellists Silvia Viviano, Sam Ward, CFA, Helena Roberts and our moderator Noel Monro, for an insightful discussion.
