Nasdaq Capital Markets Forum

Thank you to Nasdaq for inviting Amundsen Investment Management to participate in their Capital Markets Forum yesterday in Stockholm.

Sweden is often brought up as the European posterchild for dynamic equity capital markets, and rightly so - with a strong pension fund sector, strong retail participation, and a resulting high access to equity capital for issuers.

After an introduction by Niklas Wykman, Sweden's Financial Markets Minister, our IPO panel discussed the outlook for global IPOs, why engaging with a wide variety of investors ahead of an IPO is so important, and the IPO as the beginning of a journey... not the end. While we all agreed that there are many positive conditions for IPOs over the next few years, it remains very important to come to the market at the right time for the company, rather than trying to time a hypothetical "IPO window".

Thank you to my excellent co-panellists Aditi Venkatram (Jefferies) Anna Boqvist (Carnegie Investment Bank) Henrik Z. Sandström (Morgan Stanley) Peter Nicklin (Rothschild & Co) and our moderator Maria Groschopp Dellwik for a very interesting discussion. Thank you Adam Kostyal for the invitation.
